Financial Options

FEES

Our initial consultation with you is done a no charge.  The cost of treatment will vary depending on several factors, including the difficulty of the case and the type of bracket used.  We offer several financing options for you to consider:

CASH:  A discount is given for those choosing to pay the entire fee in advance.

IN HOUSE FINANCING:  This type of financing requires a down payment.  The remaining balance is spread out over the course of treatment (usually 20-24 months).  This fee is financed without interest.  Automatic credit card payment is available.

SPRINGSTONE:  We work with an outside financing company called Springstone.  They do not require a down payment, however interest is charged.  There are several options for the length of contract.

INSURANCE

Many employers now offer orthodontic coverage as part of the dental benefits.  If you give us a copy of your insurance card, we will call and verify your benefits.  Most insurance companies will cover 50% of the treatment cost up to a specific lifetime maximum.  The benefit is generally paid out over the course of treatment.  In general we prefer that the patients pay the office directly, and then are reimbursed by the insurance company.  If you have special needs, let us know and we will try to work with you.  The fees charged for services rendered to those who are insured are the usual and customary fees charged to all our patients for similar services. Your policy may base its allowances on a fixed fee schedule, which may or may not coincide with our usual fees. You should be aware that different insurance companies vary greatly in the types of coverage available. Also, some companies take care of claims promptly while others delay payment for several months.
